The building at Trumpers Way dates back to 1970 and desperately needs to be replaced. The building is used by the 7th Hanwell Scout Group for their core activities as well as other local community groups.  The site has room for a new building and a grassed recreation area that we use for camping and other outdoor challenges like outdoor cooking.  In addition, we have access from the site to the larger space of Elthorne Park which provides even greater opportunities for the Scouts and other community organisations.

The area around the existing Hall is experiencing significant redevelopment, including new residential housing and this will increase the demand for a local modern building that local clubs and associations can use.

BBQ @ Weird Beard Open Day - 2nd March 2019

BBQ at the Weird Beard open day on Saturday March 2nd (12pm to 6pm).  The fund-raising team has started talking to local businesses to explore possibilities for funding/help we might be able to get. Weird Beard brewery is a small, local and relatively new brewery based in the factory units further along Trumpers Way across the canal. They hold regular open days and have offered us the opportunity to do the catering at the next event this will be held on Saturday 2 March at their brewery / unit on Trumpers way - we can keep the proceeds from the food. We are planning to run a barbecue with simple but delicious burgers etc with a vegan option. We would love to see as many supporters of 7H there as possible. You can also support your friendly local brewery of course. Saturday 2nd March: The event runs from around 12.00 to 23.00. We will be catering until about 18.00

Planning Application update - 18th February 2019

We have submitted modified designs and Aboricultural report after the Ealing Council planning and tree services department questioned the potential impact of our original design on the roots of anearby tree. We originally wanted to lower the Quartermaster store by 1.3 metres to make it easier to load/unload gear for camps etc. However, we don’t want to damage the root structure of the nearby tree so we have submitted a compromise – QM store will now be at the same level as the rest of the hall.

Ealing and Hanwell District Cubs Gang Show - 29th January 2019

7th Hanwell hosted the inaugural Gang Show for the district in St Thomas Church’s hall. 7 th HanwellCubs sang a Hanwell themed rendition of the 12 days of Christmas (written by St Thomas’s Father Robert Chapman) and our sixers/seconders performed skits for their Personal Challenge badge. In all, we raised £410.50 for the rebuild effort.
